Chapter 345

Chapter 345
He Never Noticed Me Until I Loved Someone Else novel Chapter 345

The freezing lake water instantly swallowed them both. Water rushed up Stella’s nose and down her throat, a suffocating grip seizing every inch of her body in an instant.

Skylar’s grip was terrifyingly strong. Like a total lunatic, she purposely dragged them both deeper into the depths. Stella thrashed wildly, trying to break free, but Skylar dug her nails in and refused to let go.

Through the distortion of the water, Stella heard a massive splash from the surface, followed by Logan’s frantic screams.

Within seconds, a strong arm clamped onto her shoulder, violently hauling her upward. Relying on that pulling force, Stella kicked her legs desperately toward the surface. But Skylar, driven by a suicidal determination to take them all down, remained latched onto her like a vice.

Logan didn’t have the strength to drag them both up. His only options were to let go entirely, or sink to the bottom with them.

Stella had already choked down several lungfuls of water. The agonizing pressure in her chest was unbearable; she was fading fast.

Realizing exactly what Skylar was trying to do, Stella began fighting against the arm Logan had secured around her. She wanted him to let her go—at least then he would survive!

But Logan held on with a relentless, terrifying grip, even using his free hand to try and pry Skylar off. Skylar was fully prepared, though; she had wrapped her entire body around Stella, determined to die with her!

The three of them thrashed endlessly beneath the water. Stella’s vision grew increasingly dark, and her lungs felt as if they were being shredded by thousands of needles. She had completely run out of strength to fight.

Right on the brink of blacking out, Stella vaguely heard another heavy splash from above, followed by a frantic, terrified male voice echoing in her ears. Then, a powerful force wrapped securely around her waist. Without a chance to figure out if it was real or an illusion, she completely lost consciousness.

…

Stella had no idea how much time had passed before the sharp, sterile scent of the hospital pierced her senses. She forced her eyes open to a stark white ceiling and an IV dripping steadily beside her.

Outside the window, the sky was pitch black. Over by the balcony, Jarrod stood with a freezing expression, speaking into his phone.

The memories crashed into her—Skylar dragging her over the edge and into the lake.

So, she had been saved?

Was Jarrod the voice she heard right before she passed out?
