Chapter 333
He Never Noticed Me Until I Loved Someone Else novel Chapter 333
Yvette hesitated for a moment before explaining her situation.
Last time, Yvette’s husband had voluntarily apologized to her, promising he would stop gambling, stop taking his anger out on her, and commit to living a good life together.
So, Yvette had moved out of The Sterling Residences and gone back to him.
Recently, with Jarrod’s help, Yvette had even secured a business project for her husband, which his family was highly satisfied with.
She had genuinely believed things were turning around, but to her shock, her husband hadn’t quit gambling at all. In fact, his addiction had escalated entirely out of control! His parents only blamed her for failing to control her husband, leaving her suffering in silence.
“Jarrod, I really can’t stay with him anymore. There is absolutely no end in sight to this nightmare.”
Yvette’s eyes turned red as she spoke, and the exhaustion her makeup had tried to conceal was now fully visible. “But you know how powerful his family is over there. I don’t have the means to break free from them.”
Yvette had brought up divorce to her husband multiple times before, but his family had blocked her at every turn, even using her own family as leverage. Left with no other options, she had always caved.
“Jarrod, could you please help me? Help me get away from them cleanly?” Yvette pleaded, her eyes brimming with tears. “If I weren’t completely out of options, I would never have come to bother you.”
“I wanted to come find you directly, but I was terrified of causing another argument between you and Stella. When I called Grandpa Fuller and found out you two would be here today, I rushed over.”
Jarrod listened to her story, his expression unreadable. He finally replied, “I can help you find a reliable divorce lawyer to handle the lawsuit and sort out the divorce proceedings.”
Hearing this, tears spilled down Yvette’s cheeks. She explained that her husband was tied up with a lot of shady characters, and she had tried hiring lawyers in the past, but it had always ended in total failure.
“Jarrod, just sending a lawyer isn’t enough. Last time you took me in, they didn’t dare say a word. That proves they are terrified of your influence. So I’m begging you to help me yourself.”
With that, Yvette rolled up her sleeves, exposing the hideous, dark purple bruises mapping her skin.
“I really can’t take this anymore. Living like this is a fate worse than death. Jarrod, for my mother’s sake, could you please handle this personally just this once?” Yvette pleaded desperately.
