Chapter 359
He Never Noticed Me Until I Loved Someone Else novel Chapter 359
Stella had zero interest in Silas’s gossip, but seeing how eager Yvette was to share, she asked anyway. “What rumor? That he’s not getting married?”
Stella had heard Eleanor mention Silas’s perpetual bachelorhood. Apparently, he had fallen for a woman in his youth but it went nowhere, and after a few failed relationships, he just never settled down.
Oddly enough, Stella had never heard Arthur Sr. pressure him into marriage.
“Not exactly,” Yvette said. “Do you know why Silas hasn’t even dated anyone in years?”
Stella shook her head.
Yvette lowered her voice even more. “I heard Silas has a twisted kink. During intimate moments, he doesn’t allow any lights on and forbids the other person from making a single sound. If he gets annoyed, he snaps. He’ll hit them or literally throw them out into the street. Word got out years ago, and no woman has dared to date him since.”
Stella was shocked.
Silas always walked around with a pleasant, smiling face. She had no idea he was that psychologically unhinged.
No wonder Eleanor always got a dark, uncomfortable look on her face whenever Silas’s love life was brought up.
“Actually, Silas used to be really close to Benedict. When Benedict left the family, Silas even begged Grandpa Fuller to forgive him. He even went to the same college in the city where Jarrod’s parents lived.”
Yvette sighed. “No one knows what turned Silas into this. It probably had something to do with the woman he loved in college.”
Stella’s confusion deepened. If Silas had been so close to his older brother, and Jarrod was his brother’s son, why was Silas targeting Jarrod so ruthlessly?
Was it because he was jealous and resentful of Arthur Sr.’s blatant favoritism?
Naturally, Stella didn’t ask Yvette these questions. Yvette smoothly shifted the conversation, reminiscing about her and Jarrod’s younger days.
Yvette was a year older than Jarrod and naturally more mature, so she and her mother, Wendy, had taken great care of him. Jarrod trusted and relied on them heavily.
