Chapter 320
He Never Noticed Me Until I Loved Someone Else novel Chapter 320
Summer wasn’t angry. She had completely lost the energy to even feel anger.
“Where is The Sacred Amulet? Give it back to me,” Summer said, her voice eerily calm.
Aria pulled out a jade amulet. The stone was translucent, reflecting a soft, warm glow under the hallway lights.
Summer reached out to take it, but Aria whispered, “Summer, do you know how I got this amulet?”
“Lucca was too rough that night. I couldn’t take it, and in a moment of desperation, I accidentally yanked it off.” Before Summer could respond, Aria continued, “Summer, Lucca and I didn’t just have a drunken one-night stand.”
“That night, that disgusting man really did try to touch me. He even took me to a room. But Lucca couldn’t bear it. He rushed in, shoved the disgusting guy aside, carried me to his own room, and couldn’t wait to take me.”
Watching the color drain from Summer’s face, Aria’s voice grew even more pitiful.
“He knew it was my first time, but he showed no mercy. He took me all night long, and I cried from the pain… Summer, he loves you so much, so he definitely wouldn’t be that rough with you, right?”
Summer knew exactly what Aria was doing. She was deliberately provoking her, trying to force her to lose control and strike out. If that happened, the people inside the room would come out and see her acting like an arrogant, jealous lunatic.
Summer didn’t care what those people thought, but she refused to turn into a hysterical shrew over a worthless man. She would despise herself for that.
So Summer simply curled her lips into a faint smile. “Are you done? If you’re done, I’ll be leaving.”
Aria clearly hadn’t expected this reaction, and a flicker of shock crossed her eyes.
Then, she doubled down. “Summer, Lucca bought me a beautiful little villa. He was there keeping me company last night, too.”
Summer offered a dismissive smile. “Then I wish you two the perfect happily ever after. You deserve each other.”
With that, she straightened her posture and walked straight toward the elevator.
Leaving a grim-faced Aria standing alone in the hallway.
Only when the elevator doors slid shut did Summer lean against the cold metal wall, her body slowly folding inward.
The amulet in her hand grew warm from her grip, but it couldn’t thaw the icy chill that had settled deep within her heart.
