Chapter 281
He Never Noticed Me Until I Loved Someone Else novel Chapter 281
The background of the photo was a spacious indoor concourse, showing a woman crouching in front of a man with a deeply worried expression.
Although the shot was taken from a distance, Jarrod Fuller recognized Stella Quinn immediately from the very first picture.
And the man sitting opposite her was Logan Lennox.
The subsequent photos showed Logan grabbing Stella’s wrist, Stella anxiously patting down his pockets, and her reaching out to check his forehead for a fever.
With a dark, somber expression, Jarrod tapped to play a video.
Stella was supporting Logan, feeding him water and medication. His entire head rested against her shoulder as he stared at her with an unfocused, hazy gaze.
In another clip, Stella handed him the water bottle and turned to leave, only for Logan to call her back.
He opened yet another file. This time, Logan was leaning against a wall while both of them had their phones out, clearly exchanging contact information.
Whether it was the photos or the videos, it was painfully obvious how much she cared for him, their movements displaying an undeniable, intimate familiarity.
Jarrod sat frozen with his phone in hand. The screen’s pale glow cast stark shadows over his sharp features, highlighting a remarkably grim expression.
Just a few nights ago, Stella had looked him dead in the eye and claimed she was completely over Logan.
Was this her version of moving on?
The Stella he knew was always calm and quiet, treating everyone with polite but distant courtesy. Yet, whenever it came to Logan, her true emotions bled through. Whether it was heartbreak or fierce concern, she never bothered to hide it.
Jarrod gripped his phone, a suffocating wave of jealousy washing over him.
A barrage of voice messages flooded in from Serena Fuller.
Serena explained that she had gone to The Royal Oaks Auto Show with a friend today, but when she went to use the restroom, she accidentally caught Stella acting overly friendly with another man.
“Jarrod, do you believe me now? Stella is such a fake! She acts like the perfect, innocent wife in front of you, but behind your back, she’s throwing herself at other men!”
Serena’s voice carried a hint of vindictive satisfaction, as if she had finally found the smoking gun needed to ruin Stella once and for all.
