She claimed that ever since Jarrod went missing, Silas had placed her under strict house arrest, and she had only just managed to steal a phone when the guards weren’t looking.
“I’m terrified to make a move. I know Silas will try to kill my baby,” Yvette whispered in sheer panic. “Stella, has Jarrod contacted you? Do you know if he’s alive?”
Why on earth would Yvette risk everything to call *her* for intel on Jarrod?
“That’s a ridiculous question. Why would he contact me?” Stella shot back coldly. “Didn’t his boat capsize with Arthur Sr.? The news says he’s lost at sea.”
“Stella, I’m sorry, I’m just so scared. I don’t know what to do, so I’m grasping at straws. I thought maybe Jarrod found a way to send you a secret message to let you know he was okay.”
Yvette pressed harder, “You really haven’t heard anything? Julian and Sebastian haven’t found a single clue?”
