Chapter 380

Chapter 380
He Never Noticed Me Until I Loved Someone Else novel Chapter 380

Seeing Stella leaning weakly against the hospital corridor wall, her face entirely devoid of color as if she might collapse at any second, Logan couldn’t hold back anymore. He hurried over to her side.

“Stella, are you alright? How is your dad?” He gently guided her to a nearby chair.

Utterly drained, Stella merely shook her head, lacking the energy to speak.

Seeing her in such a fragile state, Logan wrapped an arm around her, letting her head rest against his shoulder. He patted her arm soothingly, his voice a soft murmur. “It’s going to be okay, Stella. I’m right here with you.”

The familiar comfort of his words caused the dam to break. Tears spilled down Stella’s cheeks, and she leaned into him fully.

Just then, the elevator doors chimed open. Jarrod and Yvette stepped into the hallway.

At the sight of Stella resting her head on Logan’s shoulder, enveloped in his protective embrace, Jarrod’s footsteps faltered. A dark, stormy shadow crossed his features.

But the moment Yvette looked up at him, he instantly masked it, returning to his usual detached demeanor as they approached.

Stella had no idea why Jarrod and Yvette were at the hospital at this hour. Her immediate instinct was to sit up and pull away from Logan, but then she remembered she and Jarrod were divorced. She had no reason to care what he thought.

She remained exactly where she was, leaning against Logan.

Logan wasn’t about to push her away either. He fixed a hard, defensive glare on Jarrod. “What are you doing here?”

Jarrod said nothing, his gaze casually sweeping over Stella’s slightly swollen, tear-stained eyes. It was Yvette who provided the explanation.

“My stomach was cramping a bit, so I asked Jarrod to bring me to see a doctor. We ran into your stepmother and sister downstairs, and they mentioned you were still up here. I asked Jarrod to come up with me to check on you.”

Yvette stepped closer, her voice dripping with artificial concern. “Stella, you look awful. Do you want me to get a doctor to take a look at you?”

Stella finally sat up straight, her tone flat. “No, I’m fine.”
