Sylvia adjusted a hairpin near her temple, forcing a calm tone. “We’re simply making logical arrangements. The Quinn Group has a mountain of issues waiting to be handled, and Seraphina is busy too. You’re his daughter; it’s only right you shoulder some of the responsibility.”
Stella sneered without mercy. “When he’s healthy and raking in cash, you’re the most devoted wife and the most obedient daughter. But now that he’s paralyzed, you suddenly remember he has another daughter?”
“So you get all the perks, and I’m supposed to swallow all the misery?”

Ignoring Sylvia’s ashen face, Stella pressed on. “No matter what condition my dad is in, The Quinn Group was built by him and my mother. It was his wish for me to run it, and neither of you is getting a piece of it!”
“Stella, what the hell gives you the right to act so arrogant!” Seraphina finally exploded.
“You’re nothing but a dumped housewife Jarrod tossed aside. If you kept your head down and acted right, maybe my mom would’ve let you keep running SD since you’re somewhat useful. But with that attitude, you better pack your bags and get the hell out!”
Seraphina had always despised Stella and wanted to teach her a lesson. Previously, she held back because of Stella’s connection to Jarrod, but now, there was nothing left to fear!
“Don’t think I’m just bluffing. Combined, my mom and I hold more shares than Dad. Kicking out someone who owns absolutely zero shares is going to be a walk in the park!”
