Summer Rhodes looked completely unbothered. “Lucca’s friends have no filter. They only talk trash behind my back, but to my face, they’re perfectly respectful.”
But it was still way out of line for Lucca Sterling to let his friends run their mouths without stopping them, especially while openly holding another woman.
Reading Stella Quinn’s thoughts, Summer smiled.
“He’s young and cares too much about his ego. He’s just putting on a show with these girls; nothing’s actually going to happen.”
“Shut the hell up.”
Right on cue, Lucca’s lazy, warning drawl echoed from ahead.
Because of their three-year age gap, Summer had initially rejected Lucca. It was only after he moved heaven and earth to pursue her that she finally agreed to date him.
In Stella’s mind, Lucca actually cared deeply about this relationship.
Maybe Summer was right—what just happened was nothing more than him putting on a meaningless show.
They sat there for another hour until Summer got a text.
She mentioned that Lucca had a bit too much to drink and she needed to go check on him.
Having finished her meal, Stella decided it was time to head out.
“By the way, Summer, I remember you mentioning a friend whose dad is a top neurologist. Could you put me in touch?”
Stella realized Summer was right; if Logan Lennox got his memory back, there was no way he would fall for someone else.
Therefore, Stella wanted to find a world-class specialist to help Logan remember everything as soon as possible.
Summer agreed without hesitation, promising to message her friend and update Stella the second she heard back.
A spark of hope reignited in Stella’s heart.
