Julian immediately knew exactly who Sebastian was talking about. Seeing his friend so utterly tormented by love, his heart went out to him.
“Seb, if you’re really that crazy about her, I’ll go have a chat with her husband. Let’s see what his price is to fast-track that divorce.”
In the past, Sebastian possessed the quiet arrogance to believe that Stella’s husband couldn’t possibly compare to him. He genuinely thought that if he just waited for the divorce, he’d have a real shot.

“Her husband isn’t going to let her go easily,” Sebastian admitted, his voice steeped in defeat.
Julian’s curiosity piqued. “You actually asked? Did the guy demand a fortune? Is that why you rushed off last night—to deal with him?”
Sebastian remained silent.
The real reason he fled last night was that he had absolutely no idea how to face Stella. Subconsciously, he was terrified of her finding out about his connection to Jarrod.
Given her personality, if she knew, she would avoid him like the plague.
Especially since he had never exactly hidden his attraction to her.
“Seb, why don’t you just find someone else to like?”
Julian had always felt there was something off about this mystery woman. “Just forget about her. For all we know, she orchestrated this whole thing from the start to trap you.”
Sebastian honestly wished everything really was just a manipulative scheme plotted by Stella.
But that was nothing more than a delusion.
Rationally, he knew he had to let her go. He couldn’t let his feelings for Stella destroy his brotherhood with Jarrod.
“Let’s go grab food. Jarrod should have caught up with Chloe by now.”
Sebastian finally pushed himself off the sofa.
