Her debut novel is three weeks late and her editor has just been replaced by the one man in publishing she swore never to work with again. Theo reads the manuscript in a single night and returns it dense with marginalia: brutal, precise, and infuriatingly right. Over four rounds of revisions, two arguments per chapter and one very unprofessional dinner, the book becomes something neither of them planned.
