Chapter 362

Chapter 362
He Never Noticed Me Until I Loved Someone Else novel Chapter 362

Jarrod didn’t even bother to expose her incredibly childish excuse. He just sat there, unmoving.

A moment later, she held up a snail. “I found this! Come look, doesn’t the pattern look just like Van Gogh’s Starry Night?”

Stella’s eyes sparkled, looking at him with eager anticipation, desperately wanting him to agree.

Jarrod paused, feeling utterly annoyed. He stood up from the embankment, fully intending to find a quieter spot to be miserable, but Stella let out a visible breath of relief.

She trotted over to him, pulled a warm breakfast out of her bag, and shoved it into his hands. “Here, this is for you! My grandma says eating something warm makes everything better when you’re sad!”

Just then, a classmate called her name from down the street, and she quickly jogged away.

Leaving Jarrod standing there entirely alone.

Listening to Jarrod’s story, Stella searched her memory and vaguely recalled the incident.

Early that morning, she had seen a gaunt, furious teenage boy sitting dangerously close to the river edge. Her mind immediately flashed to news reports of people jumping into rivers over depression.

She had been too scared to physically pull him away, so she tried every trick she could think of to get his attention and draw him back.

Thankfully, her bizarre tactics had worked, and he stepped away from the ledge. She had felt incredibly proud of her good deed, but quickly forgot about it as life moved on.

Stella never in a million years imagined that the depressed teenager was Jarrod!

“But… you only saw me for a few minutes. How did you remember my face well enough to recognize me when we got married?” Stella asked, still skeptical.

“Do you think everyone is as forgetful as you?” Jarrod tapped the teardrop mole beneath her eye. “You already had your features back then, and this mole is unforgettable.”
