Stella knew George was just making up excuses to keep him there. She opened her mouth to protest, but Jarrod, apparently out of patience, stepped out of the car with his long legs.
“Right this way, Jarrod!” George beamed, immediately leading the way.
He didn’t forget to wave at Stella. “Don’t just stand there, Stella! Come on!”
Stella had no choice but to follow.
The Quinn Group’s headquarters couldn’t hold a candle to the majestic Fuller Group skyscraper, but it was still a respectable six-story building with its own elevators.
George proudly ushered Jarrod into the grand reception room. Because Stella was officially starting today, George had called a meeting with the board members and top executives, many of whom had already arrived.
Seeing the imposing figure of Jarrod Fuller walk in, one of the executives asked, “Mr. Quinn, who is this?”
George puffed out his chest, his voice dripping with arrogance. “My son-in-law, Mr. Fuller, from The Fuller Group. And this is my daughter, Stella.”
The room erupted in shocked murmurs!
Everyone at The Quinn Group knew Stella had married into the Fuller family, and they all knew the company was only surviving because of The Fuller Group’s backing. But none of them had ever met the legendary Jarrod Fuller in person!

The executives immediately swarmed Jarrod, practically tripping over themselves to shake his hand.
Worried that Jarrod would lose his temper, Stella shot George a look, silently begging him to reel his people in.
Surprisingly, Jarrod seemed perfectly accustomed to the fawning. Despite the faint annoyance tightening his jaw, he maintained a polished, polite demeanor as he greeted the crowd.
“Alright, everyone, head to the conference room! I’m going to catch up with Jarrod for a minute!” George finally announced.
Once the room cleared out, silence fell over the reception area.
