On the other end of the phone, George Quinn’s voice was shaking with pure rage. “Stella Quinn! Have you lost your damn mind?! I sent you into the Fuller family to live properly with Jarrod and secure our connections, not to publicly humiliate me!
It’s been three years, and you’re still obsessing over Logan Lennox? He’s nothing but a stray dog who might not even get a dime of his family’s inheritance! His amnesia is probably completely fake—he just didn’t want you clinging to him and ruining his chances of finding some rich heiress!”
“Don’t you dare slander him like that!” Stella couldn’t hold back. “I know exactly what kind of person he is. I will never give up on him!”
“You!” George choked on his fury. “You ungrateful wretch! Get your ass back here tonight! If you dare to cross me, don’t even think about me paying for your grandmother’s care anymore!”
Dropping that threat, George slammed the phone down.
Stella gripped her phone tightly, her fingers trembling.
George was threatening her. Before, he used Logan as leverage; now, he was using Grandma Margaret!
