Jarrod had left early this morning and made a special trip to Mythos Online just to show support for the woman he adored.
“I’m so thrilled to join Mythos Online!”
Chloe’s crisp voice rang out.
She began to introduce herself with perfect composure.
“I moved back for personal reasons, but my passion for this work is absolutely genuine! I look forward to a fantastic collaboration with all of you!”
After Chloe finished her confident and charming speech, the executives led the applause.
Jarrod didn’t say a word the entire time. He only gave a slight nod when Chloe finished, gazing at her with an approving, doting look.
Stella met her gaze, curving her lips into a perfectly polite smile. “You flatter me, Director Huxley. We can learn from each other.”
Just then, Jarrod’s gaze swept over, lingering on Stella’s face for a brief second before carelessly sliding away.
The look in his eyes was as if he were staring at a complete stranger—a stark contrast to the man who had been tracing the curves of her waist in bed last night.
Once the appointment was announced, the senior management escorted Jarrod out.
Chloe walked closely by his side, the clicking of her heels on the floor sharp and melodic. The way they spoke to each other in low tones looked incredibly familiar and intimate.
